The Blockchain Competence Centre Mittweida (BCCM) is a leader in regional, national and international blockchain (BC) research, development (R&D), consulting activities and publications. The focus here is on driving forward the development, research, marketing and data economisation of future cutting-edge technologies characterised by digitalised value creation and platform processes, e.g. in the circular economy and energy industry & transferring the innovation potential of (e.g. Saxon) companies and research institutions in leading selected research & transfer projects and applications in order to strengthen Germany and Europe as a pioneering, competitive energy, technology, business and science location, e.g. through university spin-offs and IP management. In addition, the centre also trains specialists, incubates start-ups and transfers knowledge and technology to companies.
